Stabat Mater

 

De l'ombre à la lumière.

 

Pendant une année, j'ai travaillé sur la création du Stabat Mater du Pergolèse avec la soprano Violaine Fournier et la mezzo Anne Charlotte Beligné . Tout au long de ce travail, j'ai pensé à l’Oedipe sur la route de Bauchau, à cette frise qu'il sculpte jour après jour, à ce qui résonne juste au plus profond de notre âme et attend qu'on le dévoile.
Il y a au cœur de la musique du Pergolèse une lumière infinie. Celle que nous cherchons en nous. Jour après jour, ‘notre’ stabat mater a émergé. L’image s’est créée, matière photographique, simple et multiple à la fois. Est-elle juste ? L’Image en elle-même est irréalisable. Mais pas la route. Cette image kaléïdoscopique correspond à notre quête.
 


 

 

FROM  SHADOW TO LIGHT

There is an infinite light at the heart of Pergolese's music. The one we are looking for within ourselves. I thought of Bauchau's Oedipus, of what sounds right at the bottom of our soul and is just waiting to be revealed. The image created itself, the photographic matter, simple and multiple at the same time. Is it right? The Image in itself is unpracticable. But not the road. This kaleidoscopic image corresponds our quest.
